Last week, the Mississippi Association of Independent Schools (MAIS) announced three schools had been granted admission. These schools came from the MHSAA after the ruling that out-of-state students would not be allowed to participate in sports and activities.

The schools were accepted and will be able to compete for championships effective immediately.
The move affected North Delta as St. Joseph- Greenville moved in to District 1-AAA and thus required a change of the schedule.

“The MAIS decided to remove Tunica Academy from our schedule and fill that spot with Saint Joe,” said North Delta head football coach Brandon Ciaramitaro.
