First Security Bank’s ceiling of matching $15,000 to the amount donated to assist Batesville Elementary School’s Booster Club in getting that school’s needs met for the kind of items not necessarily covered by insurance was quickly met in less than a week after the account was established. This check of $31,313.58 was turned over to the Foundation for Public Education who will disperse it to the BES Booster Club. On hand for the presentation were from left: Booster Club liaison Ashley Drumheller, School Board President Sandra Darby, Trustee Kenny Hopper, BES Principal LaSherry Irby, Trustee Buddy Gray, Superintendent Tim Wilder and FSB President Frank West who said he expected the amount to reach $40,000 by the end of the week.
