After falling to Greenville 20-8 in a winners bracket game Friday, Batesville remained alive in the tournament with a 26-12 win over Southaven Saturday followed by a 15-11 victory over Water Valley Sunday. The Storm garnered a third place finish after losing 18-0 to Greenwood Sunday.
Batesville fell behind 4-1 to Water Valley before an eight-run outburst in the third inning proved to be the difference maker. The key blow of the inning came when leadoff hitter Mitch Mitchell delivered a two-run triple into left to drive in Conner West and Darrius Bramblett. Mitchell added his third RBI of the contest one inning later on a ground out.

Levi Gee struck out four batters while allowing only two hits over three innings of work on the mound. Mack Boyette tossed two innings of middle relief, fanning two while no hits or walks. Ridge Aldison closed out the win in the sixth by allowing one unearned run on no hits and striking out a batter.

Batesville out-hit Water Valley 11-2 with Gee and Boyette providing a pair of two-run doubles. Aldison, Ethan Jefcoat and Bramblett each supplied two singles. Gee and Conner West  also contributed with singles in the victory.
