By Rupert Howell
A Batesville police officer responded Sunday night to reported shots on Noble Street but only found three 9mm casings according to Lieutenant Billy Sossoman’s incident report that showed a 10:16 time of occurrence.

The report stated that the hulls were found on Garson and Noble Streets and said that residents heard gunfire that woke them but stated, “they did not see anything.”

Other weekend incidents included Officer Wesley Hawkins’ investigation of a stolen cell phone that was reportedly taken from Batesville junior High School last Friday.

The phone’s last “ping” was located around the Lester Street Apartments area.

The parent was also advised to go to the school  to see if security video might have recorded the phone being taken while the victim was walking the halls.
