Police arrest one in drug raid

By Rupert Howell
Batesville Police officers Tuesday arrested Lisa Strong at her home at Westridge Apartments on Tubbs Road after alleged controlled substances were found there Tuesday morning.

Police were called to investigate a complaint of a missing cell phone and while there smelled and saw what they believed was marijuana, according to Batesville Assistant Police Chief Don Province.

After a search warrant was obtained, BPD’s special operations unit and Panola County’s Drug Task Force were called in along with BPD’s K-9 unit to search the apartment.
