The articles by Johnny Nelson have been read with great pleasure and interest.

His closing comments in the December 30th issue concerning moving the proposed new seat of county government one mile north of the proposed site to “right slap in the old town of Belmont” is not appreciated by some of the current residents.

Speaking for two of the few residents of the old town of Belmont, we do not want it. We live the good life here and do not want it messed up with a new seat of county government.

We can only imagine what it would to our traffic problems in addition to what the structure would do to the visual environment.
