Frank D. Dunson
SARDIS–– Frank D. Dunson, 77, die Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at Tri Lakes Medical Center in Batesville.

Services were held Friday at Wells Funeral Home. Burial was in Longtown Cemetery in Crenshaw. Reverend Billy Shelby officiated. Wells Funeral Home had charge.

Dunson, born Feb. 23, 1937 in Tunica, to the late Charles Edward Dunson and Mary Vickery Barbee Dunson, was a farmer during his lifetime and a member of the Church of God. He also played piano and guitar.

Survivors include: his wife, Beatrice Chambers Dunson of Sardis; six daughters, Mary Katherine Franklin of Byhalia, Sheila Ann Baker of Courtland, Teresa Lynn Vaughn of Crenshaw, Cynthia Marie Martin of Senatobia, Angela Darlene Dunson of Sardis and Patricia Gail Darby of Sarah; two sons, Frank Mitchell Dunson of Sardis and Tony Earl Dunson of Strayhorn; one sister; two brothers; 18 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Jessie “Pat” Logue
ENID–– Jessie “Pat” Logue, 83, died Friday, November 14, 2014, at her residence.

Services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Enid Lake Baptist Church. Visitation will be held 1 p.m. until service time. Rev. Jeff Tankersley will officiate. Dickins Funeral Home has charge.
Louge, born March 8, 1931, in Bay Springs, to the late John Reddock Smith and Jessie Mae Cody Smith, was a homemaker and a member of Enid Lake Baptist Church.

Survivors include: two daughters, Cathy Martiez of Montpeller, Idaho and Debbie Overton of Pope; two sons, Micheal E. Logue of Pope and Lawrence C. Logue of Lakeway, Texas; one brother, Charles Q. Smith of Louisville; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Mary Jane “Janie” Self
MARKS–– Mary Jane “Janie” Self, 70, died Thursday, November 6, 2014 in Batesville.
Services were held Sunday at Kimbro Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Forrest Memorial Park Cemetery. Kimbro Funeral Home had charge.

Mrs. Self, born to the late Walter and Leona Gordon,  was a homemaker and a member of Blue Lake Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew “Bud” Jackson Self and her son, David Allen Self.

She is survived by three grandchildren, David Andrew Self of Hernando, Tisha Kay Rich of Courtland, Gaston Allen Self of Crowder; sisters Ruth Fortner, Shirley Gordon and Polly Gordon, all of Ponchatoula, La., Martha Briggs of Biloxi; brothers, Oscar Gordon, Billy Gordon and Pat Gordon, all of Amite, La and four great grandchildren. 

James Ernest “Jimmy” Smith
BATESVILLE––James Ernest “Jimmy” Smith, 62, died Thursday, November 13, 2014, at Tri-Lakes Medical Center.

Services were held Monday at Dickins Funeral Home. Burial was in Coldsprings Cemetery. Hal Johnson officiated. Dickins Funeral Home had charge.

Smith, born April 16, 1952, to the late Ernest Smith and Nona Ferguson McCarver, was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church and a retired painter for Lawrence Brothers.

Survivors include: one son, Christopher Smith of Batesville; one sister, Patricia Moseley of Water Valley; two brothers, Lonnie McCarver and Tommy McCarver, both of Batesville and one grandchild.

Charlayne Gladney Lamb
BATESVILLE—Charlayne Gladney lamb, 75, passed away Sunday, November 16, 2014 at Baptist Memorial Hospital of North Mississippi in Oxford.

Services will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 19 at Batesville Presbyterian Church with interment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery. Dr. Don Yancey will officiate.

Wells Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements and the family will receive friends Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home and also one hour prior to services at the church.

Born in Batesville to the late Charles Harold and Dixie Scruggs Gladney, she was a member of Batesville Presbyterian Church and a retired teacher of 38 years.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Lamb of Batesville and two daughters, Dixie Lamb and Mazie Lamb, both of Walls.
