Jimmy David Daugherty
SOUTHAVEN––Jimmy David Daugherty, 58, died Friday, November 7, 2014, at his residence.
Services were held Monday at Wells Funeral Home. Burial was in Forrest Memorial Park Cemetery. Wells Funeral Home had charge.
Daugherty was born Oct. 4, 1956, in Lambert, to the late Selmer Daugherty and Marlene Pearson Daugherty.
Survivors include: his wife, Janice Dalton Daugherty of Southaven; two daughters, Ida Dell Williams of Tupelo and Melinda McCarty of Southaven; three sisters, Carolyn Daugherty Peters of Memphis, Kathleen Daugherty Bonner of Courtland and Joan Daugherty Zimmer of Sardis; two brothers, James Daugherty and Gary Daugherty, both of Batesville.
Bonnie Jean Manning
ENID––Bonnie Jean Manning, 65, died Monday, November 3, 2014.
Services were held Thursday at Dickins Funeral Home. Rev. Marty Evans officiates. Burial was in Elam Cemetery in Coffeeville. Dickins Funeral Home had charge.
Manning, born May 9, 1949, in Tunica, to the late Johnny Baldwin and Sarah Willie Nolan Baldwin, was a homemaker and attended Como Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Allen Manning Sr.
Survivors include: five daughters, Angela Dees of Enid, Charlotte Welch of Senatobia, Melinda Shackelford of Drew, Rebecca Thomas of Coldwater and JoAnn Manning of Courtland; one son, Lee Manning Jr. of Grenada; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Henry Lee Roberson
BATESVILLE––Henry Lee “John Henry” Roberson, 60, died Thursday, November 6, 2014, at his residence.
Services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Mt. Pleasant M.B. Church in Pope. Pastor William Johnson will officiate. Visitation will be held Wednesday 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. at Cooley’s Mortuary. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Church Cemetery. Cooley’s Mortuary has charge.
Roberson, born Nov. 29, 1953, in Charleston, to the late Mack Henry Roberson and Louise Winter Roberson, was retired from Muscle Shoals Company and was a member of Mt. Pleasant M.B. Church.
Survivors include: one daughter, Tysheyn Williams; three brothers, Robert L. Roberson, Homer Lee Roberson and Alonzo Roberson and seven sisters, Lillian Mitchell, Maxine Froster, Mary Webb, Alice Lee Parker, Martha Mae Roberson, Velma Louise Roberson and Annette Roberson, all of Batesville.
Mellard Barr Shankle
BATESVILLE––Mellard Barr Shankle, 88, died Thursday, November 6, 2014, at his residence.
Services were held Monday at First United Methodist Church. Burial was in Batesville Magnolia Cemetery. Rev. Ed Temple and Rev. Ed Woodall officiated. Dickins Funeral Home had charge.
Shankle, born July 7, 1926, to the late Roy W. Shankle and Frances Barr Shankle, was a member of First United Methodist Church. He was a WWII veteran of the United States Navy Amphibious Forces.
Survivors include: his wife of 58 years, Ann Hawkins Shankle of Batesville; one son, Chris Shankle of Shreveport, La. and two grandchildren.

Lizzie Victoria Simmons
COURTLAND––Lizzie Victoria Caldwell Simmons, 65, died Wednesday, November 5, 2014, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Cooley’s Mortuary. Pastor Reginald Reed will officiate. Visitation will be held Friday 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. at Cooley’s Mortuary.
