Panola church joins in prayer vigil for American pastor jailed in Iran
Liberty Hill Baptist Church will participate in a worldwide prayer vigil for American pastor Saeed Abedini and all persecuted Christians worldwide on September 26.
Pastor Abedini has been held captive and tortured in an Iranian prison for 2 years. His wife Naghmeh, who lives in Idaho with the couple’s two children, has been contacted and is pleased that prayers from our church have been lifted up for Saeed.
“Because I want to serve God, I see all of these difficulties as golden opportunities and great doors to serve,” Abedini wrote in a letter from prison last year. “There are empty containers who are thirsty for a taste of the Living Waters and we can quench their thirst by giving them Jesus Christ.”
Pastor Derek Simmons and members of Liberty Hill Baptist Church invite everyone to the prayer vigil, Friday, September 26 at 6 p.m. The church is located six miles east of Pope, just off Pope Water Valley Road.
