A Tubbs Road apartment resident told Patrolman Bill Furniss that when she returned home Sunday morning after an overnight absence, she found the front door had been kicked in. Her preliminary inspection revealed nothing missing, Furniss’ report stated.

A man who watches over property on Martinez Street checked a house on Saturday morning and found a broken side screen door, utility room windows broken and a hole in the wall separating the utility room from the rest of the of the home. Again, the property overseer’s intial inspection of the damage property revealed nothing missing, according to the report of the investigating officer, Patrolman Alex Aikens.

Aikens also took a report of two bicycles stolen early Saturday from an Autumn Street home.

The homeowner found one of the bikes at nearby Field Street and had the name of a teenager who had the other bike. She told the officer that she did not wish to file charges, according to his report.

A burglar who stole a window air conditioner from a Pearson Street home was seen by a witness, according to a report of the Friday, June 20 burglary by Patrolman Greg Jones.

The witness told Jones, “that he watched a light-skinned black male wearing a white shirt walk around the residence and then leave carrying a large white item.” Jones’ report stated.

The suspect drove away in a late-1990s white Chevy Suburban that had been parked at the Mr. Jiffy convenience store on Pearson Street, according to the report. No tag number was recorded for the vehicle.
