Tennessee Titans player Michael Oher will host the Inaugural ‘First and Goal’ Youth Football Mini-camp. Oher teamed up with Minnesota Vikings and Batesville native Jamarca Sanford to bring a free youth football camp to the community.
Oher, along with several of his NFL Friends, will host the Inaugural ‘First & Goal’ Youth Football Mini-Camp.
The camps will be held Saturday, June 14 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the South Panola High School field in the Robert H. Dunlap Stadium.
Over 200 underprivileged youth (ages 6-16) will learn valuable lessons from the professionals. Kids will learn the fundamentals of football as well as leadership development, team building and self-improvement skills at the free youth football camp, sponsored by the Michael Oher Foundation and Jamarca Sanford.
Michael Oher said, “At a very young age, children face a lot of challenges in life. Sports help them learn essential life skills such as patience, hard work, how to take instructions, interacting with others, as well as how to deal with adversity. This camp is our way of joining in and extending a helping hand in making a difference in our community.”
There is no fee but registration and parental waive form are required. Visit www.firstandgoalcamp.com http://www.firstandgoalcamp.com to register and for more details.
