Vance Street resident reports theft

A Vance Street resident returned home Sunday after an overnight absence to find that flat screen televisions and a video game had been stolen.

The victim told Patrolman Eric Conlee that he had left about 7 p.m. Saturday and returned about 12:30 p.m. Sunday, April 20. Missing were a Magnavox 39-inch screen television, a Colby TV and a Playstation 3, Conlee’s report states.

Value of the missing items was placed at about $800.

In another burglary investigation a Highway 6 West resident told Conlee that a Stihl chainsaw and Stihl weed trimmer had been stolen from his home. The owner told the officer that he discovered the items missing on Sunday, April 20. He had last seen the items on April 12, the officer’s report states. Their value was placed at about $600.
