Michael W. Beshires
COMO – Michael W. Beshires, 60, died Saturday, December 14, 2013, at his residence.
Memorial services will be held today at Calvary Baptist Church in West Memphis, Ark. at 7 p.m. Visitation will be held at 6 p.m. prior to services. Wells Funeral Home has charge.
He was born Sept. 26, 1953, to the late Wayne and Jackie Shaw Beshires. He was the former owner of Kim’s Bakery.
Survivors include: his wife, Robin Michelle Harper Beshires of Como; one daughter, Heather Thornton of West Memphis; two sons, Daniel Harper of Memphis and Michael Beshires Jr. of Fayetteville, Ark.; one sister, Karen Beshires McAteer of West Memphis; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Eva Earlene Moore
BATESVILLE – Eva Earlene Moore, 81, died Tuesday, December 10, 2013, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Desoto.
Services were held Wednesday at Dickins Funeral Home. Burial was in Liberty Hill Cemetery. Hal Johnson and Mike Martin officiated. Dickins Funeral Home had charge.
Moore, born December 25, 1931 in Lambert to the late Bailey Peeples and Etta Whitten Peeples, was a retired factory work and member of Courtland Church of Christ.
Survivors include: two sons, Dewitt Miles and Billy Joe Moore of Batesville; one sister, Lucille Moore of Pope; one brother, Thomas Peeples of Pope and one grandchild.

Charles Laten Howell
OAKLAND – Charles Laten Howell, 86, died Saturday, December 14, 2013, at his residence.
Services will be held today at 2 p.m. at Wells Funeral Home. Rev. Eugene Walden will officiate. Burial will be in Forrest Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held at 12:30 p.m. until service time.
Howell, born Aug. 27, 1927, in Columbia, Tenn., to the late Clarence Elmer and Luriene Bell Howell, worked in the metal industry as a tool and die maker. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a Mason. He was a member of the Spring Hill Baptist Church of Oakland.
He was preceded in death by one son, Charles Laten Howell II and wife, Alberta Cook Howell.
Survivors include: his wife, Virginia Smith Howell of Oakland; one daughter, Sharen Howell McKee of Memphis; one sister, Lois Howell Ramsey of Memphis; three brothers, Jerry Howell of Sommerville, Tenn., Edward Larry Howell of Millington, Tenn., John Carlton “Pete” Howell of Oxford; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

Martha Magee Toole
Grenada – Martha Magee Toole, 72, died Sunday, December 8, 2013 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis.
Visitation was held December 11, 2013 at Mrs Toole’s childhood home, The Herron House in Oakland, with funeral services following at 2 o’clock in the Oakland United Methodist Church where she was a member.
Interment  followed in Magnolia Cemetery in Batesville. Reverend Rickey Harris, Reverend Clay Baker and Reverend John Howell, Jr.  officiated with eulogies given by Lee Toole and Carol Ross. Hollie Roberson and Sabrina Morris provided music for the service and Bud Trout was the trumpeter.
Serving as pallbearers were  Tate Wood, Eddie Simmons, Rich Ross, Bryan Roberson, Shane White, Dr. Keith Stanford, Eddie Sosebee and Stefan Buchanan.
Martha was born in Marks  to James Rupert and Marina Gates Hayward Magee on October 9, 1941. Throughout her life she loved music and taught piano and organ lessons for many years, a passion she loved to share.  Martha also was the pianist for Tillatobia Baptist Church and played for special occasions for the Oakland Methodist Church. She was a retired realtor and an avid bridge player. She was member of the Oakland Bridge Club.
She is survived by her four children, daughter, Ginny Toole Sosebee (Richard) of Batesville; sons, Mark M. Toole (Alesa) of Cruger, John R. Toole (Mindy) of Coldwater,   T. Hunt Toole, Jr. of Holcomb; three sisters, Barbara Sue Magee of St. Louis, Charlene Magee Leverette of Grenada, Sylvia Magee Grant of Oakland and her cousin, Sarah Abner Wilburn of Brandon; nine grandchildren Jim, Jordan, Sarah Beth, Claire, Terry, Thomas, Jacey, Darby and Andrew.
