HORN LAKE — John Haywood Jr., 53, formerly of Coldwater, died Tuesday, July 23, 2013. He was a member of Ruffin Grove Church in Como.
Services were held Saturday at Second Baptist Church in Coldwater. Burial was in Second Baptist Cemetery in Coldwater. Rodgers Funeral Home had charge.
He was a retired veteran and a Mason.
Survivors include: his mother, Barbara Jean Haywood of Coldwater; one daughter, Barbara Jean Haywood of Melville, La.; son, Akeem Jamaal Haywood of Killeen, Texas; step-daughter, Angela Wiltz of Mellville; six sisters, Inze Conley of Coldwater, Delores Miller of Huntsville, Ala., Debbie Lee of Kansas City, Dorothy Haywood of Coldwater, Jackie Simmons of Memphis and Kathrine Haywood of Chicago; and three grandchildren.
MARKS — Jim Pettit, 89, died Thursday, July 25, 2013, in Batesville.
Services were held Saturday at Blue Lake Baptist Church. Burial was in Crowder Cemetery. Kimbro Funeral Home had charge.
He was a farmer.
Survivors include: one sister, Mattie Mills of Batesville and one brother, Dossie Pettit of Lambert.
Memorials may be made to Blue Lake Baptist Church.
