Royliene C. Griffin age 70, passed away Thursday morning, June 27, 2013 at Tri-Lakes Medical Center in Batesville, MS.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 29, 2013 in Wells Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Harvey Sewell presiding. The family will receive friends from Noon until service time on Saturday. Interment to follow in Crowder Cemetery.
Mrs. Royliene was born to James Roy & Thressea Kathleen Patterson Cofer on March 12, 1943 in Clarksdale, Mississippi. She was a member of Enon Baptist Church, Batesville, MS. For many years, Mrs. Griffin worked as an accountant assistant for Veazey & Clayton Certified Public Accountants in Marks, MS.
Those whom she leaves behind to cherish her memory include; one son, Todd Owen Griffin (Jerri) of Crowder, MS; 3 grandchildren, Bryce, Leigh Taylor and Jessi.
Besides her parents, Mrs. Griffin was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Owen “Red” Griffin; and one daughter, Gidget Lynn Griffin.

NATCHEZ – Eleanor Glenn Lamb Haltom, 83, died Tuesday, June 25, 2013. She was the wife of Robert Ballard Haltom of Batesville.
A private graveside service will be held in Eupora.
She was born on May 11, 1930 in Eupora, to the late William Herbert Lamb and Mattie Jones Lamb.
She attended Christian College in Columbia, Missouri and was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma at the University of Mississippi, where she met her husband.
She was an active member of the Pilgrimage Garden Club in Natchez.
She was a founding member of the Southern Garden History Society and member of Junior Auxiliary of Natchez, the DAR, and was a member of Jefferson Street Methodist Church. She co-chaired the Natchez Antiques Forum.
Survivors include: her husband, Robert B. Haltom, her three children Laura Haltom St. Clair, Dr. James R. Haltom, and Dr. Thomas L. Haltom, and six grandchildren.

MEMPHIS – Mary Katherine Clay Lunceford, 93, died Sunday, June 23, 2013.
Services were held at Sardis United Methodist Church in Sardis, on Wednesday, June 26. Burial was at Memorial Park Cemetery in Memphis. Ray-Nowell Funeral Home of Sardis Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Gresham Clay Sr., to whom she was married for 40 years; and Dr. William Herbert Lunceford, to whom she was married for eight years.
Survivors include her daughter, Rev. Gail Gaddie; her son, Louis G. Clay, Jr.; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren and 17 step-grandchildren.
Lunceford was born on March 9, 1920, to the late Edward Wesley and Mary Elizabeth Land. She graduated from Humes High School in 1937.
She participated in the Parent-Teacher Association, and the United Methodist Women, both at Chelsea Ave. and the Sardis United Methodist Church, after she and Louis retired to Sardis.

SENATOBIA – Ruth Christine Power, formerly of Como, died Sunday, June 23, 2013, at Senatobia Convalescent Center. She was 100.
Services were held Thursday, June 27, at Fredonia Methodist Church near Como. Minster Danny Smith officiated.
Burial was in Emory Cemetery near Como. Ray-Nowell Funeral Home of Sardis had charge.
Power was born December 6, 1912, in Panola County, to Arthur and Glendora Morrison Jackson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dolvis Power, and one son, Charles Power.
Survivors include one granddaughter, Lisa Cobbs of Como and two great-grandchildren, Briley and Brayden Cobbs.
