As they prepared to deliver a positive message on a warm Saturday morning, men and women marching with Boys 2 Men United assembled in the Batesville Square for a march down Panola Avenue.
Walkers moved quickly to match the pace of banner bearers and they strode briskly down Panola Avenue.
A Batesville fireman marched in turnout gear with Boys 2 Men United. Saturday’s heat came only from the overhead sun.
Shade trees at the Armstrong/Panola intersection provided relief from the sun as marchers neared their destination at the Armstrong Church of God. There ministers prayed, and Rev. Zannie Leland spoke. See more in Tuesday’s edition, in print and online.
