BATESVILLE – Rhonda Lynn Rupprecht Britt, 47, died Sunday, March 3, 2013, at her residence.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 9 at First United Pentecostal Church, 300 N. Hwy 7 in Water Valley. Wells Funeral Home has charge.
Rhonda, born in Memphis, on March 8, 1965 to Sharlott Ann Turnage and the late John Albert Rupprecht Jr., was a homemaker.
Survivors include: her husband, David Anthony Britt of Batesville; two daughters, Rachel Renee Crase and Brandy Lynn Nicole Britt both of Batesville; two sons, Danny “JoJo” Webb Jr. of Batesville, and Bradley Dale Webb of Oxford; four step-sons, Justin Anthony Britt of Louisiana, Codey Alan Britt of Oxford, Caden M. Britt of Saltillo and Raymen Kyle Britt of Georgia; her mother, Sharlott Ann Rupprecht; three sisters, Rita Lynn Roberson of Courtland, Yvette Rupprecht Aldy of Batesville, Kelly Rupprecht Watson of Tennessee; two step-sisters, Jennifer Collump of Arkansas and Jeana Reeves of Tennessee; two brothers, Randy Lyn Rupprecht of Batesville and John Brendon Rupprecht of Batesville; and 11 grandchildren.
WATER VALLEY –– William “Billy” Mack Dickey, age 89, died Monday, March 4, 2013 at his residence.
Services were held Wednesday at Seven Oaks Funeral Home. John Stewart officiated. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery. Seven Oaks Funeral Home had charge.
Dickey, born October 2, 1923 in Water Valley, to the late Marvin and Leither Rampy Dickey, served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was a lifetime member of VFW.
He worked as a mechanic for Trusty International Harvester and was a member of Camp Ground Baptist Church in Water Valley. He played many instruments including the guitar, fiddle, lap steel, bass guitar and the mouth organ.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Evelyn Baggett Dickey and one daughter, Pat Hollowell.
Survivors include: his wife, Minnie Mae Dickey of Water Valley; four daughters, Sherry Black of Lonoke, Ark., Janice Akins of Water Valley, Becky Keel of Foley, Ala. and Linda Webb Underwood of Batesville; one son, Richard Webb of Batesville; two sisters, Mary Alice Dickey Hayles of Water Valley, and Hilda Mae Dickey of Memphis; three brothers, Bobby Joe Dickey and Marvin Wayne Dickey of Water Valley and Richard Dean Dickey of Texas; 13 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren.
BATESVILLE – Dorothy Stanford Means, 84, died Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at Baptist Memorial Hospital – North Mississippi.
Services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Central Academy Church of Christ. Visitation will be held at noon prior to services. Burial will be in Forrest Memorial. Ed Casteel will officiate. Wells Funeral Home has charge.
Means, born July 10, 1928, in Detroit, Ala., to the late Raymond and Ethel Lewis Stanford, was a retired bookkeeper and a member of Central Academy Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles L. Means.
Survivors include: her daughter, Charla Means Stark of Batesville; step-daughter, Sheron Means Johnson of Southaven and five grandchildren.
BATESVILLE – Jane Cook Booth Rosenkrans, 64, died Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at Baptist Memorial Hospital – North Mississippi.
Services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Mitchell Funeral Home with burial to follow in Magee Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. on Friday at Mims-Mitchell Funeral Home. Wells Funeral Home had charge of local arrangements.
Rosenkrans, born Oct. 16, 1948, to Hershel Junior and Beulah Mae Williamson Cook in Jackson, worked in the healthcare industry as an LPN. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, member of the Eastern Star, Batesville Lion’s Club and Tri-Lakes’ Hospital Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her son, John Paul Booth and step-father, James W. McCain.
Survivors include: her husband of 24 years, Ramon H. Rosenkrans M.D. of Batesville; two daughters, Kimberly Michelle McCrory of Pearl and Alicia Rosenkrans of Seabrook, Texas; four sons, Michael Todd Booth and William Chadd Booth, both of Mendenhall, Chris Ronsenkrans of Pheonix and Brian Rosenkrans of Brooklyn; one sister, Patricia Mae McCain of Magee; one step-sister, Margaret McNair of Magee; three brothers, Dallas Cook of Mendenhall, Edward Cook of Mize and Jerry Cook of Maze; 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
