The son of the homeowner stated he left the home at approximately 7 p.m. and returned at 7:52.

The son “saw what he thought  to be a tall black guy wearing a dark shirt and dark pants standing in the living room,” the patrolman wrote in his report.

The son “eased into the house to see if anybody was in there,” the report also stated.

In the home’s master bedroom, the window was half open, indicating the burglar had made his escape.

A television in a bedroom had been unplugged but nothing was missing from the home.

The home’s address and names of family members were redacted in the patrolman’s report.
