BATESVILLE–Dr. Musa B. Caffey, age 92, widow of Josh Caffey Jr., died Friday morning, December 21, 2012, at Graceland Care Center in Oxford.
Services for Dr. Caffey were held Sunday, December 23, at the First United Methodist Church. Batesville. Reverend Pat Ludlam and Reverend Ed Temple officiated the service. Interment was in Oakhurst Cemetery, Clarksdale.
Caffey was born in Clarksdale on August 16, 1920 to John B. and Lillie Clark Baker.
She was an educator for over 20 years and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Batesville.
She leaves her son, George H. Caffey and his wife Trina of Batesville; her sister, Mildred Baker Spooner of Memphis; a brother, Dr. John Bee Baker of Baton Rouge; and five grandchildren: Cheryl Caffey Hayward, Angela Caffey Hayward, Michael Sean Caffey, Shannon Caffey Robbins and ten great grandchildren.
Along with her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Josh W. Caffey, III.
The family asks that memorials be sent to First United Methodist Church, 119 Panola Ave., Batesville, MS 38606.
