Today is Habitat Awareness Day, with supporters of Panola Habitat for Humanity encouraged to wear their new Habitat t-shirts and gather for a photo at the latest Habitat home, 120 Everette Street, at 12:30 today.

More than 200 shirts were sold in the recent fund-raiser that was designed to create interest and support for the next Habitat home, according to Tracy Goforth, who chaired the project.

Directions to the “photo shoot”: Take Panola Avenue to Patton Lane (on the left), then take a right on Williams Street and a left on Everette. The new house is on the left.
