Batesville Police Department Detective George Williford said his department needs help with identifying a suspect possibly involved with theft of credit cards and a shotgun from a pickup during daylight hours at Panola Construction Company September 12.

A video surfaced showing a suspect using one of the two stolen credit cards in a liquor store in DeSoto County later that night Williford noted.

The cards and shotgun, a .20 gauge Weatherby, belonged to Lent Irvin Thomas. Williford asks that anyone with information contact BPD at 563-5653 or Crimestoppers of North Central Mississippi at 1-800-729-2169 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible, and of course, the identity of the caller will be confidential through Crimestoppers.
