Rip Kirk, the junior quarterback for the 2012 South Panola Tigers, won the MVP quarterback award for his age group at the Junior Rank Southeastern Combine at Lafayette High School on Saturday, July 14.

Winning the top quarterback award gave Kirk a trip to compete in the JuniorRank Semper FI Approving Ground Combine in Los Angeles California on January 3, 2013 which will be televised on CBS.
Kirk said that he was very honored to receive the award.

“The camp was a lot of fun,” he said. “I enjoyed it and there was a lot of competition there. It also rained a lot.”

Others that Kirk mentioned attending the combine were DK Buford from Lafayette, Parker Adamson from Oxford and the class of 2014 No. 1 running back in the nation.

Kirk will finish up his last camp of the summer at the University of Arkansas this weekend.
