About 45 youths split into teams to perform construction work at McIvor, hold a Backyard Bible Club at Patton Lane Park, lead a baseball camp at the Boys and Girls Club, and lead an Upwards basketball camp at the church.

Youths ranging from the sixth grade to high school seniors performed their work during the day then returned to the church at night for worship and Bible studies with an emphasis on worldwide missions, said FBC youth minister Brett Frazier. 

“We wanted to remind youth that life’s not about them, it’s about serving others to live out the Gospel,” said Frazier, who credited FBC pastor Tommy Snyder for envisioning local mission work this summer.
