About 100 people were on hand to celebrate the opening of Batesville’s Square Market Wednesday afternoon. The celebration was marked by a proclamation from Mayor Jerry Autrey recognizing the contributions of the late Bobbie Jean Pounders in helping establish the weekly farmers market, now in its third year.
