CROWDER – Jack Yvonne Bailey, 76, died Friday, May 11, 2012.

Services were held Sunday at Kimbro Funeral Home. Burial was in Crowder Cemetery. Rev. Harold Smith officiated. Kimbro Funeral Home had charge.

Bailey, born Sept. 17, 1935, in Clarksdale, was retired from Emhart Corporation after 35 years.

He served in the U.S. Air Force.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Alice King Bailey.
Survivors include: one son, Larry Yvonne Bailey of Hernando and Stevie Allen Bailey of Oxford; two brothers, Larry James Bailey of Batesville; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

BATESVILLE – Karen Mays, 60, died Friday, April 20, 2012.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, May 19 at 11 a.m. at First Faith Baptist Church. Rodgers Funeral Home has charge.

She is survived by her husband, Ray Mays.

BATESVILLE – Martha Louise Beard Reed age 61, died at her home Sunday May 13, 2012. She was a professional hair stylist at Durham’s  Hair Salon for the past 20 years.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Wells Funeral Home. Rev. Thomas Beard will officiate. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m.  at Wells Funeral Home.

She was survived by her son, Eddie Reed.

BATESVILLE – Raymond Wayne Tidwell, 68, died Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at his son’s residence in Summit.

Services were held Saturday at Wells Funeral Home. Burial was in Forrest Memorial Park. Rev. Charles Lock officiated. Wells Funeral Home had charge.

Tidwell, born July 9, 1943, in Batesville, to the late Victor and Dorothy Hawkins Tidwell, attended   Courtland Baptist Church and was a retired route salesman.

He was preceded in death by his son, Rocky Tidwell.

Survivors include: his wife, Judy Wright Tidwell of Batesville; one son, Rodney G. Tidwell of Summit; one sister, Mary Quay Russell of Batesville; one brother, David Tidwell of Batesville and two grandchildren.

BATESVILLE – George R. Young Jr., 46, died Tuesday, May 8, 2012, at Baptist Memorial Hospital – North Mississippi.

Services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Cooley’s Mortuary. Pastor Larry Key will officiate. Burial will be in Eureka Cemetery. Visitation will be held today from 1 p.m. – 2 p.m. at Cooley’s Mortuary.

Young, born June 20, 1965, in Hernando, to George Rufus Young Sr. and Eva Louise Houston Young, was a mechanic for South Panola School District. He was a stocker for Wal -Mart and a member of Mt. Zion M.B. Church.

Survivors include: his wife, Martha A. Young of Batesville; one daughter, Jelisia Marie Young; three step-daughters, Brenda Spain, Monica House and Charletta House, all of Batesville; three step-sons, Ronnie House, Jermaine House and Omar Henderson, all of Batesville; three sisters, Eva Young, Ethel Davis and Mattie Poole, all of Batesville; one brother, Robert Lee Young of St. Louis and one grandchild.
