The South Panola track team competed in the 6A Regional Saturday at Tupelo High School with three advancing to the north state track meet at Mississippi State University in Starkville Saturday.

Only the top four finishers in each event advance to north state.

Winning the 100-meter dash was Tony Conner with a time of 11:02.

JaBrea Joiner placed third in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.99 and fourth in the 200-meter dash with a 27.38 time.

Lisa Lyons placed third in the girl’s shot put with 30.4 feet.

According to Coach Matt Mock many came up a little short and  placed fifth.

“The girls 4×200 ran their best time of the year but came in fifth,” Mock said. “We’re only losing one senior girl and two senior boys.”
