Mardi Gras rolled all day in Uptown New Orleans Sunday, with some rain-out-Saturday parades added to Sunday’s schedule. Mardi Gras is a family affair in Uptown neighborhoods, even for infants who sleep through their first Carnival parades.

Blue skies and cooler temperatures prevailed during Sunday’s Mardi Gras parades in New Orleans after a heavy storm system brought high winds and flash flooding Saturday, postponing several parades.
The Mid-Carolina Rebel Regiment on Magazine Street at Upperline. Sunday’s parades conclude with the Krewe of Bacchus. Monday will include another slate of parades before the final parades on Mardi Gras Tuesday.
