BATESVILLE – Charles Matthew “Matt” Geriner, age 48, died Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at Golden Living Nursing Home.
Memorial services were held Sunday at 124 Forked Creek Road in Hernando. Wells Funeral Home had charge.
Geriner, born July 25, 1963, in Memphis, to Linda Townsend Geriner of Sardis and the late Charles Ralph Geriner, was a plumber for 34 years and a sergeant in the Civil Air Patrol, assisting in search and rescue at Columbus Air Force Base for seven years.
Matt was a pilot (his childhood dream) and loved anything related to aviation and history. He was a communicant of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hernando.
Survivors include: his wife, Rose Geriner of Courtland; mother, Linda Townsend Geriner of Sardis; daughter, Jennifer Geriner of Jackson, Tenn.; one son, Caleb Geriner of Olive Branch; five step-daughters, Mandy Fitts of Southaven, Jessica Fitts of Columbus, Ohio, Stephanie Copeland of Marks, Angela Coleman of Batesville, Karen Earnest of Shannon; four sisters, Susan Stallings and Melinda McGeehe, both of Hernando, Cindy White of Southaven, Barbara Rogers of Sardis, and nine grandchildren and his maternal grandmother, Louise Townsend of Eudora.
BATESVILLE – Debbie Sanders Moudy, 61, died Friday, February 10, at her residence.
Services were held Monday, February 13, 2012 at Hosanna Family Worship Center in Pope with Rev. Damon Plummer and Rev. Rayford Ables officiating. Wells Funeral Home and Cremation had charge.
Moudy was born March 1, 1950 in Wayne County, to the late Rupert R. and Ann Hutchinson Sanders. She was a homemaker and member of Hosanna Family Worship Center.
Survivors include: her husband, William Charles Moudy of Batesville; two daughters, Teresa Jenkins Ford of Kosciusko, Sherry Ann Ramage of Prentiss; two sons, William Ray Jenkins of Hernando, Ronnie Lee Moudy of Batesville; one sister, Cindy Ellington of Kosciusko; 14 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
BATESVILLE – Martha Rowsey Odom, 88, died Sunday, February 12, 2012, at her residence.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Wells Funeral Home. Dr. Gary Berry will officiate. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. at Wells Funeral Home.
Odom, born Nov. 3, 1923, to the late Victor D. and Sara Collier Rowsey, was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church.
She was the widow of Willie T. “Bill” Odom.
Survivors include: three daughters, Patricia “Pat” Odom Ball and her husband, David, Janyth Odom Robertson and Willa Odom Ales and her husband, Keith, all of Batesville; one son, Willie T. Odom Jr. of Batesville; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

BATESVILLE – Robert Lee Patterson Sr., 66, died Monday, January 30, 2012, at his residence in Sardis Lake Estates.
Memorial services will be held in California at a later date. Wells Cremation Services had charge of arrangements.
Patterson, born July 2, 1945, in Memphis, to Buford Lee Patterson and Dorothy Jean Sowell, was a self employed plumber and a U. S. Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War.
Survivors include: one daughter, Stephanie Rae Patterson of Manila, Ark. and one son, Robert Lee Patterson Jr. of Ontario, Calif.
COURTLAND- Billy “Buster” Leon Tutor, 64, died Thursday, February 9, 2012, at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis.
Services were held Saturday at Dickins Funeral Home. Rev. Tim Ellis and Rev. Doug Tutor Jr. officiated. Burial was in Batesville Magnolia Cemetery. Dickins Funeral Home had charge.
Tutor, born Dec. 23, 1947, in Quitman County to the late William Jewel Tutor and Nellie Mavis Tutor, was a member of Bethany Baptist Church and was a mechanic.
Survivors include: two daughters, Cindy Tutor Elmore of Batesville and Amanda Tutor Rasnick of Pontotoc; one son, Billy Dewayne Tutor of Courtland; five sisters, Diana Cook, Ginger Ridgeway and Rita Cook, all of Courtland, Myra Wright of Taylor, Sherry Darby of Pope; six brothers, Tony Tutor and David Tutor, both of Courtland, Danny Tutor and Ronnie Tutor, both of Batesville, Doug Tutor of Senatobia and Bobby Tutor of Hernando; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
