Having played only one season at North Delta, senior Colby Pirtle has made quite an impact for both the Green Wave football and basketball teams.
Having transferred from Senatobia High School after his junior season, Pirtle excelled on the gridiron in the fall as he teamed up with younger brother Tyler to form the “Pirtle-to-Pirtle Connection” in leading North Delta to a district championship and a 10-2 record.
Pirtle registered 16 catches for 629 yards and nine touchdowns for an average of 39 yards per reception on the season.
“I have really enjoyed my time here at North Delta. This season has gone by too fast. I wish I could do it all over again,” said Pirtle.
“Playing here is a lot different than playing at Senatobia. The fans are much more into it and plus I got to play my senior year with Tyler so that was real special,“ said Pirtle, who plans to play baseball and tennis in the spring.
After graduation, Pirtle, who made a 23 on the ACT, plans to study criminal justice at Ole Miss in the fall.
