Letter to the editor
Please be advised that this is a formal complaint about the maintenance of our road, South Pocahontas Street in Sardis.
We were told several years ago that the road was in line to be repaired. As of today, we have not had any maintenance done to our road. I have lived here for 20 years, and the road is deteriorating.
As I ride through your areas, the roads are maintained. Mrs. Avant stated that an easement letter was sent out. No one in the area has received one. Does it take two years to write a simple letter?
I am requesting a meeting with the parties involved including the road supervisor. I hope that this action will not take another two years. We are law-abiding, taxpaying citizens, and I am requesting immediate action in regards to this complaint.
Thank you,
Myrt B. Price
