As school resumes today for local children, the basketball teams will be back in action in district and regular season competition.

The North Panola teams will travel tonight to take on Palmer in district action beginning at 6 p.m. Friday, they will host Charleston in district action and Saturday, Senatobia comes to town for a rematch in non-conference action. All games start at 6 p.m.

North Delta played Calhoun in non-conference action last night. Today, the Green Wave will travel to Desoto, Ark. for non-district action beginning at 3:30 p.m. with the seventh grade girls’ team. Thursday through Saturday, the varsity teams will play in the Kirk Academy tournament.

South Panola will not return to action until Friday when they host Grenada in district action starting at 4 p.m.

North Panola Jr. High will play at Oxford Thursday at 5 p.m.

Pope will host Charleston at 5 p.m. Monday, January, 9.

Batesville Jr. High will play  Pope at Pope on Friday, January 13 at 1 p.m.
