Local North Mississippi Avid Golfer and South Panola boys head basketball coach, Charlie Howard, recently achieved the extremely rare score of a double eagle on hole 7 of his home course, Mallard Pointe Golf Course, in Sardis.

The par 5, 483-yard hole 7 was played in only two shots as “Coach” expertly holed out from 223 yards using a 4H wood.

The odds of the elusive double eagle, or albatross, are 1,000,000:1.
