Veteran Day ceremony

North Delta School faculty and students invited relatives who are veterans as guests for a special tribute program Thursday. Two Afghanistan veterans, Captain Parker Still (center, back) and Lieutenant Nick Cook presented the school with a flag flown at U. S. Forces, Afghanistan headquarters. Vet Day ceremony is today

Veterans Day will be observed in Batesville on Friday with a program at 11 a.m. at the Downtown Memorial Park. Congressman Alan Nunnelee is the scheduled speaker, according to Red Hudson, commander of the local VFW, sponsor of the program.

The South Panola High School Air Force JROTC will post the colors, and Alicia Hankins will sing the national anthem.
