Semi-truck stolen from truck stop

Batesville police investigated a burglarized home on Martin Luther King Drive, and a pickup parked at South Panola High, during the most recent weekend.

BPD Patrolman Jackie Profitt filed a report of the home burglary. The homeowner reported two flat-screen TVs, a Sanyo and an Emerson, were stolen. A gold class ring and a gold chain were also missing.

BPD Lt. Kerry Pittman filed a report that a Sony CD player was stolen from a GMC pickup that was parked for the South Panola football game.

The burglary victim “stated that she cranked the truck and went to turn the radio on and discovered that it was missing,” the police lieutenant wrote.

In a third weekend report, a semi-truck and dump trailer were reported missing from Love’s truck stop.
The truck, a 2001 Peterbilt, was valued at $45,000 and the trailer was valued at $20,000.

BPD Patrolman Shelby Singleton filed the report of the missing truck and trailer.
