Elzadia H. Beck

SARDIS – Elzadia H. Beck, 72, died Monday, August 1, 2011, at Greenwood Leflore Hospital.

Services were held Sunday at Mt. Zion M.B. Church in Sardis. Burial was in Rosehill Cemetery. Felix Cauthen Funeral Home had charge.

Beck was a member of Mt. Zion M.B. Church.

Survivors include: five daughters, Tressie Salter and Anita McIntosh, both of Sardis, Bobbie Myers, Gloria Hardin Thomas and Evator Hardin, all of Memphis; three sons, Keadrix Hardin of Sardis, Gallaway Beck Jr. of Charlottesville, Va. and Clyde Beck of Albany, NY; two sisters, Mary Dora Jones of Greencobe Spring, Fla. and Freda Little of Sardis; 21 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

Jimmie Ambrose Hart

HOLLY SPRINGS – Jimmie Ambrose Hart, 75, formerly of Batesville, died Sunday, August 7, 2011.

Services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Holly Springs Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m.  at the funeral home. Holly Springs Funeral Home has charge.

Hart, born Jan. 26, 1936, in Haywood County, Tenn., to the late Sally Davis and Henry Ambrose Hart, was a member of the First Baptist Church in Holly Springs. He worked at the U.S. Department of Agriculture in the research department.

Survivors include: his wife, Margaret Gurley Hart of Holly Springs; one son, Joey Ambrose Hart of Greenbrier, Ark. and four daughters, Cynthia Passons of Southaven, Sherry Colhoun of Holly Springs, Jacquelyn Wilson of Brandon and Judy Forester of Holly Springs and five grandchildren.
