SP band starts summer practice and ends fund raiser

The South Panola band has gotten a jumpstart on the upcoming marching season with practices planned throughout the summer. The wind instruments have practiced the last two Mondays and June 20 is the final wind only practice scheduled.

The percussion and guard will practice all day, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., July 5-15.

On Wednesday, July 20, the drum major and squad leaders will meet from 8 to 11:30 a.m.

Thursday and Friday, July 21-22, Freshmen FUNdamentals will be held from 8 to 11:30 a.m.

The full band will meet Monday through Friday July 25-29 for band camp from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The band is also finishing up its summer fund raiser on Monday.

Band director Linda Davis has requested all money from the fund raiser be turned in by 3 p.m. at the band hall. Delivery date of the Coca-Cola beverage products will be July 1 and may be picked up between 4 and 6 p.m.
