On the mound for the Lady Tigers were Diamond Browning and Caroline Dickins. Both gave up four runs.

“We lost 8-5 but didn’t play bad,” said Coach Ashleigh Hicks. “They didn’t start their number one pitcher but started their number two who is about the same. They hit one on Caroline but she is 12 years old.”

South Panola led 3-1 going into the bottom of the fourth. Desoto Central evened the score and went ahead in a four-run fourth inning. Desoto Central tacked on three more runs in the fifth.

South Panola was able to get one more run in the top of seventh, but  it proved too little.
Other playoff action in the north includes: Division 3 winner NW Rankin at Vicksburg, Division 4 runner up; Division 2 winner Tupelo at Division 1 runner up Southaven; and Warren Central, Division 4 winner at Madison Central, Division 3 runner up.
