While old man winter still has its grip on Panola County and surrounding areas, it is not too early to talk a little baseball.

The 2011 South Panola baseball team will hold its Red and Blue intersquad game Tuesday afternoon at 5 p.m.

Admission is free and the concession stand will be open.

The Tigers will take part in the Lake Cormorant Jamboree next Friday before opening up the season at Desoto Central on Feb. 25.

The Tigers home-opener will be against Charleston in the ‘Wes Smythe Classic’ on February 26.
