North Panola boys head coach Dannis Jackson is looking for more consistent play from the team the rest of the season.

“We win two, we lose two,” Jackson said. “They are just learning the system and steadily improving each day.”

The Cougars (4-5 overall, 1-2 district) fell in district action to Center Hill on the road Tuesday night, 59-44.

The game was tied at 11 at the end of the first quarter. Center Hill had a seven point halftime lead, 29-22.

By the third quarter, Center Hill had pulled away 42-30 and out scored the Cougars 17-14 in the fourth quarter.

“The game was close,” Jackson said. “We couldn’t make lay-ups. We struggled to put the ball in the hole.”

Other Cougar scorers include Darius Jackson, 3 points; Terrance Turman and Cameron Shorty with 2 points each.
