NP Cougars to play first home game of season tonite

The North Panola Cougar teams will be home tonight for the first time this season to host Lewisburg in a district matchup.

The Lady Cougars lost to Rosa Fort in the district opener Tuesday night, 44-36.

The teams played in the Water Valley Tournament last weekend where the Lady Cougars picked up their first win of the season over St. Aloysius Thursday night 42-24. However, the Lady Tigers lost the other two games and fell to 1-5 on the season.

The Lewisburg Lady Patriots however are looking for their first win of the season as they enter the district season 0-5.

Cougars

The North Panola Cougar boys were on the verge of winning the Water Valley Tournament championship but fell to Water Valley 47-45 Saturday night.

The Cougars defeated St. Aloysius 86-22 and Charleston 41-34 on Thursday and Friday.

North Panola lost to Rosa Fort 74-49 Tuesday night to go to 2-4 on the season.

Saturday, North Panola will host Coldwater in non-conference games beginning at 6 p.m.
