Lady Waves hit hot streak in Indianola tournament

Erin Snider recorded a double-double with 19 points and 16 rebounds to lead the North Delta Junior High girls basketball team to a 46-19 thumping of Oak Hill Tuesday night at the Indianola Pre-season tournament.

Hastings Neal and Claire Gant added eight points each in the victory while Courtney DuBravec registered five. Callie Blake Masterson chipped in four points and five assists and Julianna Morrow dished out nine assists and four steals to go along with two points.

In the varsity contest, the North Delta Lady Green Wave broke open a 31-30 halftime lead to take a 64-40 victory over Greenville Washington to even their record at 2-2 on the season.

Bradi Beard led the way for the Lady Waves with 18 points, eight rebounds, four assists and four steals. Madison Greenlee followed with 16 points, seven boards and five assists as North Delta out-scored Washington 33-10 in the second half to come away with the win.

Charla Shea Darby added 12 points while Katelyn Still chipped in with seven points and five assists.

Hanna Greenlee posted six points while Laci DuBravec rounded out scoring with five points and three steals.
