A pre-dawn automobile accident took the life of a Batesville man Wednesday.

John Daniel Woods, 29, died from injuries after his pickup left Bell Road, located in the Eureka community.

Woods was transported from the scene by ambulance and later died at Tri-Lakes Medical Center.

A passing motorist pulled Woods from the truck, said Sheriff Otis Griffin.

Funeral services for Woods are Saturday at 11 am. at Wells Funeral Home. Interment will be in Forrest Memorial Park.

Visitation is Friday from 5 p.m until 8 at Wells.

Woods is survived by two daughters, Anna Woods and Paizley Woods of Batesville; two sons, John Woods Jr. and Ethan Woods of Batesville, among other relatives.
