Murry Harrison

SARDIS—Murry Andy Harrison, 52, died Wednesday, February 17, 2010, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Desoto.

Services were Saturday at Wells Funeral Home. Burial was in Sylvarena Cemetery. Rev. Rayford Ables officiated. Wells Funeral Home had charge.

Harrison, born Oct. 26, 1957, in Sardis, to William C. “Bill” Harrison of Sardis and Lois Ford Harrison Raiford of Olive Branch, was a barber and landscaper. He had a 20 year career as a millwright. He was a member of Hosanna Family Worship Center.

Survivors along with his parents include: one daughter, Alliene Harrison Taylor of Citrus Heights, Calif.; two sons, David Patrick Harrison and Christopher Jacob Harrison, both of LaGrange, Texas; two sisters, Donna Harrison Gagnon of Courtland and Michelle Harrison Brehm of Atoka, Tenn.; one brother, Jeffery Ford Harrison of Milton, Fla. and three grandchildren.

The family requests memorials be made to Teen Challenge of Memphis at 33 North Cleveland St., Memphis, Tenn. 38104.

Leonard Hill Sr.

BATESVILLE—Leonard Hill Sr., 83, died Wednesday, February 17, 2010, at his residence.

Services were Sunday at Cooley’s Mortuary. Rev. Zannie Leland Jr. officiated.  Burial was in West Tennessee Veteran Cemetery. Cooley’s Mortuary had charge.

Hill, born Oct. 16, 1926, in Harperville, to the late Tom Hill and Era Owens Hill, was a retired city employee. He was a member of Antioch M.B. Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Survivors include: three sons, Leonard Hill Jr. of Batesville; James Watson and Antiono Corley, both of Courtland; three daughters, Bernice McCoy of Memphis, Carolyn Jones of Batesville and Lois Benson of Courtland; 18 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Heather Nicole Huston

OLIVE BRANCH— Heather Nicole Huston, 18, formerly of Batesville, died Tuesday, February 16, 2010.

Services were Friday at New Beginnings Baptist Church. Burial was in Autumn Woods Memorial Park. Brantley Funeral Home had charge.

Huston was a senior at DeSoto Central High School.  She loved photography.

Survivors include: her parents, William G. Huston and Tammy Bailey Huston of Olive Branch; one brother, William Tyler Huston of Olive Branch; and her uncles and aunts: Darron Bailey of Southaven, Randy Bailey of Batesville and Archie Osborn of Tunica.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or New Beginnings Baptist Church.
