The Batesville Christmas Parade has been postponed until Sunday at 3 p.m., Lions Club parade chairman Jerry Lightsey said.

Rain forecast for Tuesday evening prompted the mid-morning decision, Lightsey said.

Parade participants are asked to line up at 2 p.m. Sunday along the traditional route.

Santa Claus has confirmed that he can accommodate the schedule change. He will be here on Sunday, the Lions spokesman said.
