Tigers romp over Northwest Rankin 54-10
The South Panola Tigers had little trouble with the Northwest Rankin Cougars in the first round of the playoffs. The Tigers advanced to the second round and will host Clinton next Friday at 7 p.m.
Clinton staged a comeback and defeated Southaven to earn a second round matchup.
South Panola’s Domonique Carothers had eight carries for 112 yards and scored four touchdowns on runs of 10, 18, 17 and 40 yards, respectively.
Nick Brassell had two touchdown receptions from quarterback Lee Self of 21 and seven yards, respectively, in the first half.
Kendrick Market scored on an interception return of 42 yards with 1:04 left in the third quarter.
Nick Parker scored the final touchdown on a 79 yard run wiht 9:43 left in the game.
Nolan Parker kicked five of six PATs.
