Members of the Batesville Karate Club and Quitman County Martial Arts traveled to Greenwood for the Final Tournament of the Fall Southern Martial Arts Tournament Series, “Leading the Way”.
There were approximately 150 competitors in forms, sparring and weapons competition.
Winners from the Batesville Karate Club in forms and sparring were:
Austin Hobbs, first in forms, second in sparring; Kenny Roberson, second in forms, third in sparring; James Webster, third in forms, 2nd in sparring;
Winner from Quitman County Martial Arts was:
Russell Furr Jr., first in forms; second in sparring, second in weapons
