Chester Beach
BATESVILLE—Chester Beach, 63, died Monday, July 27, 2009, at Methodist Hospital North-Memphis.

Services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Cooley’s Mortuary. Rev. Louis Wilson will officiate. Burial will be in Batesville Cemetery. Visitation will be held today from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Cooley’s Mortuary has charge.

Beach, born July 13 1946, in Tibbs, to Capitola Veazey Beach of Memphis and the late Jim Beach, was a free lance songwriter and a fork lift operator. He was a member of Historical First Baptist Church in Millington, Tenn.

Survivors along with his mother include: his wife, Pauline Beach of Batesville;  one daughter, Camiora Cooper of Batesville; one son, Chester Beach Jr. of St. Louis; six sisters, Harmean Johnson and Debra Starks, both of Memphis, Geraldine McVay of Millington, Charlene Campbell of Whitehaven, Gwendolyn Franklin of Chicago and Hazel Summers of Atlanta; one brother, Curtis Beach of Millington and five grandchildren.

 

Quintyler Sandridge

SARDIS—Quintyler Sandridge, 68, died Friday, July 24, 2009, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Desoto.

Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Chulahoma M.B. Church. Rev. Etoy Bogard will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held today from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. at Cooley’s Mortuary and Saturday from 1 p.m. – 2 p.m. at Chulahoma M.B. Church. Cooley’s Mortuary has charge.

Sandridge, born Jan. 24, 1941, in Byhalia, to Thelma A. Richmond Jones of Chicago and the late William T. Jones, was a factory worker and a member of Shiloh C.M.E. Church in Sardis.
Survivors along with his mother include: one son, Rev. Vernarda Sandridge of Sardis; two sisters, Reginia Faye Conklin of Chicago and Melvin L. Smith of Lynwood, Ill.; one brother, James T. Jones of Chicago; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Inez Lee Wright

BATESVILLE—Inez Lee Wright, 47, died Saturday, July 25, 2009, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi.

Services will be held today at 1 p.m. at New Bethlehem M.B. Church. Rev. Zannie Leland Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Cooley’s Mortuary has charge.

Wright, born Nov. 30, 1961, to the late Willie Lee Sr. and Mary Corine Towns Lee, was a member of New Bethlehem M.B. Church and a retired desk clerk for Tri-Lakes Medical Center.

Survivors include: two sisters, Eunice Adair and Beverly  Burnette Rankins of Batesville; and two brothers, Michael Lee of Batesville and Jimmy “Bill” King of Milwaukee, Wis.
