Despite 20 points from Geri Lamm, the North Delta varsity boys dropped a 66-61 overtime district decision to Tunica Friday night. Jim Tom Copeland registered a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds in the defeat while Taylor Herron had 10 points to go along with five rebounds and three assists.

Bateman Greenlee also pulled down 10 rebounds and five points. Matthew Barefoot recorded five points and two assists. Tres Brasell and Corbin Baker had two points each.

The loss was the Green Waves second in a row as they lost to Strayhorn 73-67 at home Thursday night. Copeland led North Delta in scoring with 27 points and 11 rebounds while Herron followed with 16 points, seven rebounds and three assists. Lamm and Baker followed with seven points while Brasell added eight points, seven boards and one blocked shot.

North Delta, (4-3; 2-1) hosts Kirk today beginning at 4 p.m. and Clarksdale Lee tomorrow at 2 p.m.
