Race Day

Lone Lake Motocross Park, southeast of Batesville, “Lone Lake MX Racing,” sponsored its first race day October 26 with the competition classes being geared to junior and family competition.
Competition consisted of 80 entries. Concessions was a fund raiser for Bynum Fire Department.
Local winners in the race events include Taylor Brown, Brian Davis, Dalton Davis, Hunter Sayle, Spencer Sutton and Jordan Cox.
“Spud” Brown, 10, from Batesville was awarded a trophy for his first place win in the 65CC beginner age group race. He won riding his KAW85, bike No. 684 and received a third place plaque riding a KLX110, bike No. 4, in the 85CC 7-11 age group race.
Brian Davis, 11, of Batesville received a plaque for fifth place riding his Honda 70, bike No. 11 in the 65CC beginner age group division.
Dalton Davis, 4, of Batesville, rode a YAM TTR 50, bike No. 38, to place second in the 50CC Shaft/F 50 division and received a trophy.
Sayle, 10, of Batesville, achieved his winnings at Lone Lake Motocross Park Race Day by placing second in the 65CC beginner age group and second in the 65CC 10-11 age group. He won riding his KAW 65, No. 315.
Sutton, 10, of Batesville, rode his KAW 85, bike No. 473 to second place in the 85CC 7-11 age group and received a trophy. He placed fourth, riding his Honda 150 R in the 150CC 15 years and under and super-mini division race.
Cox, 7, of Batesville, rode his COBRA 50 No. 6 to a first place win in the 50CC 4-6 age group race.
