Annie Lee Barnes Crouch

BATESVILLE- Annie Lee Barnes Crouch, 85, died Sunday, November 2, 2008.

Services were last Tuesday at Liberty Hill Baptist Church in Pope. Burial was in Liberty Hill Cemetery. Dickins Funeral Home had charge.

Crouch, born July 18, 1923, to the late William Luster Barnes and the late Nellie Mae Davis Barnes, was a factory worker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jiles Elliott Crouch and one son, Jiles William Crouch.

Survivors include: five daughters, Joyce Ann Lawson, Carolyn Dee Perkins, Janice Nell Browning and Cherry Lynn Craven, all of Batesville and Judy Cerise Abernathy of Tipton, Okla.; two sisters, Earlene Mancell of Lonoke, Ark. and Edna Nottke of Little Rock, Ark.; three brothers, Jowel Barnes and Linder Barnes, both of Lonoke, Ark. and Pete Barnes of Plato, Mo.; 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.


Barbara Jean “B.J.” Ray

BATESVILLE- Barbara Jean “B.J.” Ray, 65, died Wednesday, November 5, 2008, at North Mississippi Regional Center in Oxford.

Services were Sunday at Dickins Funeral Home. Burial was in Forrest Memorial Cemetery. Dickins Funeral Home had charge.

Ray was born March 15, 1943, to the late Charles Otto Ray and the late Gladys Finch Ray.

Survivors include: four sisters, Dale Morrow of Courtland, Charlene Boring of York, Pa., Anita Honey Church of Red Lion, Pa. and Judy Shifflet of York, Pa.; two brothers, Charles Ray Jr. of Hanover, Pa. and Ronald Ray of Denver, Pa.

Memorials can be made to Love Joy Methodist Church in Courtland.
